Some of my companions used to take great pleasure in fighting and killing the Nightmares that threatened us.
Not for noble reasons, or for the thrill of teamwork in defeating an enemy. Some of them simply like killing. Or even being made to feel pain during those fights.
I've never really understood why they feel that way. Nor do I think I really want to.
[Not that she's any better, given how often she killed some Nightmares for the grave sin of waking her from a nap, or even just for the purpose of using their corpse as a bed to sleep upon, like the snakes she killed once upon a time... but she refrains from mentioning her own hypocrisy here.]
[He's learning very quickly that Sleeping Beauty likes to take her time writing. It's almost like writing with a pen pal, waiting for letter responses.]

i don't know what i'd do if i met some people like that. i guess everyone has something that makes them tick. uh, at least the nightmares were taken care of. right?
hopefully, it won't be so bad for you here. it's not really that often that we have problems with nightmares or anything so there's that.
Yes. We still made sure the Nightmares would not become a problem when they appear, despite all that.
But that's good to hear. It would be nice to be able to finally rest without having to worry about too many Nightmares potentially appearing to disturb me.
